Honeymoon Island State Park

Today we went to Honeymoon Island State Park. It is about a 45 minute drive for us. The only thing I dislike about the park is the $8.00 entrance fee. Nevertheless, it is an amazingly beautiful place to be - any time of the year really. Today was perfect: the weather was in the mid 70s and breezy. The park has a lot of great trails to walk on, with osprey and bald eagle nests. Here is an aerial view of the park, with Calidesi Island as well.

OK now for the pictures we took today!

We love it there and can't wait to go back!

Rainy Day

It was a rainy day here in Florida. Some days this state does not feel like the "Sunshine State." So I was basically stuck inside. Not all bad since I had a good deal of school work to do and web design projects to work on.

Towards the end of the day I decided to step outside and see if I could get any good shots of the rain. Here is what I got. I set a fast shutter speed of 1/500.

And here is another picture: a close-up flowers on the front porch.
